Wolves are being linked with a move for Hibernian midfielder Josh Mulligan, while Aston Villa are among the clubs eyeing Newcastle United striker Nick Woltemade.

TeamTALK claims Wolves are set to challenge Southampton and West Ham United for Mulligan, and that both Wolves and West Ham have made initial enquiries.

Hibernian remain in a strong position, with the 23-year-old under contract for another three years.

Mulligan scored three goals and provided five assists in 33 appearances in all competitions last season.

AS reports Villa are interested in Woltemade and could meet Newcastle’s asking price of around £56.4 million, with other clubs also keen.

The report adds Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are monitoring his situation after a difficult debut Premier League campaign.

The German international is currently playing at the World Cup. Newcastle paid £69 million to sign him from VfB Stuttgart last summer, and he registered eight goals and three assists in 33 league games.
