Villarreal have reached into Estonia to sign 17-year-old striker Andero Kaares from FC Flora Tallinn for Villarreal B, according to El Periódico Mediterráneo.

Born in Tallinn on 29 June 2009, Kaares is regarded as one of Estonia’s brightest prospects, his name already tied to precocity records, particularly for his emergence in the Premium Liiga.

He debuted for Flora on 14 September 2024 against Kuressaare, becoming the youngest player in the club’s history to feature in Estonia’s top flight at 15 years and 77 days.

Kaares scored his first top-division goal on 27 May 2025, again versus Kuressaare, sealing a 1-3 win and underlining his quick adaptation to senior football.

He also captained Estonia’s under-17s at the recent European Championship staged in the country, a historic first finals appearance for the age group. Estonia shared a group with Spain, Croatia and Belgium, and finished bottom after opening with a 1-4 defeat to Spain.

His first stop will be Villarreal B as he adapts to Spanish football and fights for a place in the set-up. The academy has also confirmed the transfer of right-back Toni Tamarit to Portuguese side FC Alverca, following his loan at Mirandés last season.
