Villarreal call for all-yellow show against Atlético and post-match party | OneFootball

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Villarreal have planned a post-match celebration at La Cerámica to mark a second consecutive UEFA Champions League qualification and are urging supporters to turn the Atlético Madrid game into an all-yellow occasion.

The match kicks off at 21.00. If Marcelino’s side win they will be third and finish ahead of Simeone’s team, who need only a draw despite being level on points.

To set the tone, the club will dress the stands in yellow by handing out 20,000 flags.

After the final whistle the pitch will host tributes and farewells to several departing Villarreal figures, along with surprises, echoing last season’s post-match party. The night will end with a fireworks display.

Fans have been asked to arrive fully in yellow and with scarves in hand to drive Marcelino’s team on.
