Villarreal CF rule the Valencian Community, five derbies, five wins | OneFootball

Villarreal CF have underlined their status as the region's standard-bearers this season, winning all five derbies against fellow Comunitat Valenciana sides under Marcelino García Toral.

El Periódico Mediterráneo reports that it began on matchday 10 with a 0-2 victory at Mestalla, Gerard Moreno and Santi Comesaña scoring against Valencia CF.

A planned trip to Levante UD at the Estadio Ciutat de València was postponed after a red alert in the city. The next regional meeting brought a 1-3 win at Elche CF's Estadio Martínez Valero.

The last three triumphs have arrived over the past three weeks, starting with the rearranged Levante fixture on 18 February. That preceded the Valencia derby, settled by a Pape Gueye penalty.

Yesterday Villarreal defeated Elche again, leaving them one match from a clean sweep. Levante visit the Estadio de la Cerámica on 3 May.
