Villarreal have accelerated their summer business, sealing Dani Requena’s loan to Levante while Real Betis move close to taking Diego Conde, and Arnau Tenas attracts rival interest.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Levante completed Requena’s season-long deal on Friday, which includes an option to buy worth about one million euros.
The midfielder shone last season at Córdoba but lacked a pathway into Villarreal’s first team. A youth product who joined at 12, he earned a LaLiga debut under Marcelino García Tora after impressing with the B side. He now has the chance to test himself in the top flight.
With Pau López leaving and set to sign for Andorra, Betis have virtually finalised a move for Conde. He did not travel to Portugal with Villarreal and is awaiting a trip to Seville for medical tests. The deal would be a 24/25 loan with a non-obligatory option to buy for three and a half million euros, with Conde having slipped to third choice behind Luiz Junior and Arnau Tenas after an early-season injury.
Mallorca are pushing to make Tenas their goalkeeper in Segunda División after Leo Román’s move to Deportivo de la Coruña, and other LaLiga clubs are monitoring him. In recent hours, Levante and Elche have also shown interest. Should both keepers depart, Villarreal would need to recruit to compete with Luiz Junior.
