Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has been rewarded for his Bundesliga title win with a new contract.
The Bavarian side have had a perfect start to the 2025/26 season, winning every one of their 11 games in all competitions, including 2-1 win over rivals Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.
The former Burnley manager has been handed a new deal to keep him at the club until the end of the 2028/29 season, with his previous deal expiring at the end of next season.
"I’m grateful, honoured and would like to thank FC Bayern for the trust and the working environment they’ve given me from day one," the ex-Manchester City defender said about his new deal.
"It feels like I’ve been here a lot longer and that I know the club well. It’s been a great experience so far. We’ve started on a wonderful journey. Let’s keep working hard and celebrate much more success!"
Bayern are back in action on Wednesday night in the Champions League at home to Club Brugge before they travel to face struggling Borussia Mönchengladbach at the weekend.
