Vitor Pereira said: “It’s not about anyone else! It’s about us and what we want to be as a team.”
He was speaking to BBC Radio Nottingham. Forest’s 3-0 win at Tottenham moved them three points clear of the drop, up to 16th and one point behind Leeds. Leeds drew 0-0 with Brentford, while West Ham lost 2-0 at Aston Villa.
“It’s not about Tottenham, it’s not about West Ham, and it’s not about Leeds. The feeling is we can get points everywhere, home or away, this is what I want us to be.”
“It’s about us and what we want to be as a team and what we want to be as players, and what I want to be as a manager. I want us to play without fear and with confidence. We want to be organised and to believe.”
Leeds are winless in the Premier League since beating Forest 3-1 in early February and are goalless in their last four. Consecutive draws against Crystal Palace and Brentford have kept a gap to West Ham in 18th.
Farke’s side still face all of the bottom four in their final seven games, with Wolves and Burnley to come at Elland Road and trips to Tottenham and West Ham. 13 Leeds players are on international duty, with an FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham in just under two weeks, then a league return at Manchester United eight days later.
