Vitor Roque trained fully with Palmeiras as the squad returned to work on Monday, beginning preparations for Sporting Cristal in the CONMEBOL Libertadores.

According to Nosso Palestra, the group regrouped at the Academia de Futebol a day after a 0-0 draw with Corinthians at Neo Química Arena in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Abel Ferreira’s side now turn to Thursday’s group-stage match at Allianz Parque, kick-off 19:00. They opened the competition with a 1-1 draw away to Junior Barranquilla.

The starters completed regenerative work in the recovery and neuroscience centre, while the rest of the squad trained on the pitch in small-sided technical drills.

In physical transition, forward Vitor Roque worked normally with the group. Paulinho, in reconditioning, took part in much of the session.

Midfielder Mauricio remains unbeaten in 2026, with 20 appearances and three goals, and he did not feature in the team’s defeats this year.

He said the responsibility at Palmeiras is always to seek victory, noting the run reflects his work, professionalism and that of the group. He added that maintaining such consistency is difficult, so they will keep working with dedication.

On the derby, Mauricio called it a complicated game, saying clásicos require extra focus and commitment in the duels. He accepted the draw was not favourable given the circumstances and highlighted attacking errors to correct.

Looking ahead, he described the home Libertadores opener as very important after the away draw, stressing the need to show strength and aim for three points.
