Vitória climb to 10th as Baralhas strikes before the break | OneFootball

Vitória beat Mirassol 1-0 at Estádio Manoel Barradas, with Gabriel Baralhas deciding it to lift the hosts from 13th to 10th in the Brasileirão.

Baralhas opened the scoring in the 28th minute, drilling a right-footed finish from the right side of the box into the bottom left corner.

Walter kept Mirassol in it with strong stops either side of the break, notably thwarting Matheuzinho, while Lucas Arcanjo protected the lead with a key save from João Victor Carroll before half time.

An injury forced Ramon off just before the hour, with Jamerson coming on, and Renzo López replaced Renato Kayzer as Leão da Barra looked to manage the game.

A VAR check in the eighth minute of second half stoppage time extended the finale, but the decision did not alter the result.

Leão da Barra registered six shots on target from 13 attempts. Mirassol had 59.7% possession and 16 attempts, but worked Arcanjo only three times.
