Vitória sweat on Caíque Gonçalves for Copa do Brasil decider against Flamengo | OneFootball

Vitória could be without midfielder Caíque Gonçalves for the second leg of the Copa do Brasil fifth phase against Flamengo on Thursday 14 at Barradão, after he felt muscle pain. According to Coluna Do Fla, the starter is a doubt for the tie.

He came off the draw with Fluminense on Sunday 10 with discomfort in his right hamstring. He underwent tests on Monday 11, but the Bahia club have not yet released the results.

Flamengo have injuries to Arrascaeta, Lucas Paquetá and Erick Pulgar. Arrascaeta has had surgery on his clavicle, Paquetá has a muscle injury, and Pulgar is recovering from a shoulder problem.

Flamengo won the first leg 2-1, so a draw would be enough to reach the round of 16. If Vitória win by a single goal, it goes to penalties. To advance in normal time, the Salvador side need at least two goals, provided Flamengo do not score.

Flamengo head into the meeting on the back of a win over Grêmio. Kick-off is at 21:30, Brasília time.
