Vojvoda praises Miguelito after Santos draw with Bragantino | OneFootball

Juan Pablo Vojvoda praised Miguelito after Santos drew 0-0 with Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena in the Paulistão. It was the Bolivian’s first start under the coach, in the fifth round on Sunday 25.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Vojvoda said he is still getting to know the youngster, highlighted his commitment and quality, and felt he produced a strong first half. He added that Miguelito and Rollheiser have similar profiles and can help the team.

Miguelito was the only returning loanee to report back to work with the squad this season. He came on in the previous three matches against Palmeiras, Guarani and Corinthians.

Last year he spent time at América-MG, recording five assists and seven goals in 25 Série B games. His contract with Santos runs until 24 April 2027.

A regular for Bolivia and among the leading scorers in the qualifiers, he attracted enquiries from clubs abroad in the mid-year window. He was called up for friendlies with Panama and Mexico, but as it was not a FIFA date the club kept him for the state championship.
