Wales will look to continue their strong start to World Cup qualification when Liechtenstein arrive at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday.
Craig Bellamy’s side have taken four points from their opening two fixtures, beating Kazakhstan on home soil before a 96th-minute equaliser earned a point in North Macedonia. Wales welcome a Liechtenstein side who are bottom of the group after two games and have failed to score.

The Dragons will hope to take maximum points this evening ahead of a huge clash with group favourites Belgium on Monday night. Wales are bidding to reach just their third World Cup finals.
Harry Wilson and Ethan Ampadu have returned to the Wales squad after missing March’s qualifiers through injury. With a combined 114 caps for the national team, it’s a welcome boost of experience in the absence of the injured Aaron Ramsey and recently retired Joe Allen.
Bellamy has included three teenagers in the squad, including uncapped Cardiff City defender Ronan Kpakio. Incredibly, the 18-year-old has received his first international call-up after just six senior appearances at club level.
Brennan Johnson will hope to take his club form into the break. The winger netted 18 goals for Tottenham in 2024/25, including the winner in the Europa League final. He was spotted with a tattoo of the trophy in training this week.
Wales predicted XI: Darlow; Roberts, Rodon, Davies, Williams; Ampadu, Thomas; Johnson, Wilson, James; Cullen.
Wales host Liechtenstein at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday 6th June 2025. Kick-off in the World Cup qualifier is 7:45pm BST.
Wales fans will be able to watch their side on BBC One Wales, BBC Three, S4C, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.
