The FA Women’s National League (FA WNL) has announced Walsall FC’s Poundland Bescot Stadium as the 2025 League Cup final venue.
The FA WNL League Cup trophy was most recently lifted by Hashtag United. The Premier Division South side came edged out Newcastle United 2-1 last season at Kenilworth Road last season.
The annual tournament is open to the 72 teams competing across the Women’s National Leagues. Previous FA WNL League Cup champions include Women’s Super League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Two of the quarter-finals are taking place this weekend. Plymouth Argyle will host Watford, and title-holders Hashtag United face Real Bedford.

Half of the above quarter-finalists sit in the top three of their respective leagues. Sue Hough MBE, Chair of the FA WNL Board, highlighted that the competition celebrates the best of the division.
Hough said: “The FA WNL is continuing to grow each year, and the leagues are becoming more competitive. We are reflecting this growth in the calibre of stadiums we’re selecting for the League Cup Final. The final is always one of the best days in the calendar and this year’s will be no different. We thank Walsall FC for all their help in making this possible.”
The home of West Midlands outfit Walsall boasts a capacity of 11,300. It is set to host top flight side Aston Villa for their Adobe Women’s FA Cup and Women’s League Cup fixtures.
Ben Sadler, the CEO of Walsall FC, commented on the landmark season.
“Hosting both our own women’s team and Aston Villa Women’s matches over a number of years, we have seen the growth of women’s football firsthand with record attendances and success on and off the pitch.”
The FA WNL Cup final will be played on the weekend of the 22nd/23rd March 2025.
