Eight Walsall players were marked at 4 after a bruising 4-0 League Two defeat to Cheltenham Town at Bescot. According to ExpressAndStar.com, early misses and soft concessions framed a flat display.
Harry Ashfield stole in to open the scoring. After Connor Barrett’s cheap giveaway, he was withdrawn, and Isaac Hutchinson soon doubled it. George Miller made it three from a knockdown, then Josh Martin struck in stoppage time after Aden Flint failed to clear and Myles Roberts stayed on his line.
Daniel Kanu clipped the bar from Aaron Loupalo-Bi’s well-worked build-up. Albert Adomah curled narrowly wide and set up Charlie Lakin, who squandered a gilt-edged chance.
The back line took 4s across the board. Roberts was given 4, Barrett’s error preceded the second, Flint was hesitant then miscued late, Harrison Burke was beaten by George Nurse for the fourth, and Mason Hancock kept Miller onside.
Jamie Jellis earned 5 after failing to sense the danger for the opener. Brandon Comley also 5 for two first-half creations before fading, and Lakin 4 for wastefulness and losing the key aerial for Miller’s goal. Adomah 5 threatened before the break, Kanu 5 drifted after the restart, and Loupalo-Bi 4 struggled.
Substitutes: Courtney Clarke 5, Kacper Lopata 5 and Aaron Pressley 5 could not change it, Rico Richards 4 headed over. Introduced on 64 minutes were Clarke, Lopata and Richards, with Pressley on 70. Unused were Hornby, Weir and Harper.
