Walter Oros unveiled as Jorge Newbery’s new signing | OneFootball

According to SuperDepor.com, Walter Oros has been officially presented as Jorge Newbery of Comodoro Rivadavia’s new signing for the upcoming season, which includes local tournaments and the Federación Patagónica Provincial Qualifier.

The Rawson-born goalkeeper came through Defensores de la Ribera and has been among the Liga del Valle’s most consistent in recent years, winning the official Apertura in 2022 and 2023.

Newbery are aiming for a step up in goal after frustrating eliminations in the latest Torneo Regional campaigns. To return to that competition, the Aeronauta must navigate the Provincial Qualifier, scheduled to start on 22 March.

Newbery will open at home against Gaiman Fútbol Club in a three-team group that also features Independiente de Esquel.

The other section includes Deportivo Roca de Rawson, Rada Tilly and Belgrano de Cholila. The winners of each group will play off for a place in the TRFA.
