Arsenal had a much better performance after the interval and ended up with a comfortable 3-0 win.

Oleksandr Zinchenko made a surprise start at left-back yesterday with Myles Lewis-Skelly absent from the squad with a knee issue.

When asked for an update, manager Mikel Arteta said Lewis-Skelly struggled in training,

Arteta said: “He judged it in the game against Villa, and he thought it was okay. He finished the game, and the next day it wasn’t bad.

“And then yesterday, he wasn’t feeling right. so he started the session. He wasn’t feeling good, so we need some more tests tomorrow.

“Hopefully, it’s nothing big, but the games are coming very fast.”

Lewis-Skelly has been a revelation since making his full Premier League debut against Everton.

The 18-year-old became an undisputed starter at left-back even when Riccardo Calafiori was available for selection.

He has now sustained a potential injury setback. Hopefully, it is nothing serious, and he will return to action soon.

Zinchenko played at left-back against Zagreb, but Calafiori may replace him this weekend.

The Italian recently returned to training. Arteta probably did not want to risk him against Zagreb last night.

He could return to the starting XI at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday.
