New Manchester City Women Head Coach Andrée Jeglertz’s Denmark side are competing at this summer’s European Championships.

The Swede will take charge of City ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, bringing an end to a two-year spell at the Danish helm.

Jeglertz has already tasted plenty of success in club football, winning the UEFA Women’s Cup – later rebranded as the Champions League – in 2004 with Umeå alongside two further final appearances in 2007 and 2008, as well as four Swedish league titles in a row.

After a six-year spell in charge of Finland’s national team, where he won Manager of the Year in 2012, his next international stint began in 2023 with Denmark after that summer’s World Cup.

The Swede’s time as Denmark boss comes to an end after this summer’s Euros, with Denmark reaching the tournament after finish second behind world champions Spain in qualifying.

They’ve been placed in Group C, where they’ll face Germany, Poland and Sweden. Should they finish in the top two, they could face England, France, the Netherlands or Wales in the quarter-finals.

Their Euros campaign begins on Friday 4 July against Sweden, with kick-off set for 17:00 (UK), before locking horns with 2022 finalists Germany four days later, also at 17:00.

A final Group C clash follows against Poland on Saturday 12 July, with kick-off set for 20:00.
