Real Madrid are on their way to a sixth win from six in La Liga, but their two-goal lead against Levante has been brought back to 2-1 at the Ciudad de Valencia.

The hosts had a couple of big chances to score early on, but they were made to pay as Vinicius Junior opened the scoring for Real Madrid with his third goal of the season – and the La Liga leaders have doubled their advantage soon after as Franco Mastantuono netted for the first time since his summer arrival from River Plate.

Levante were left reeling by those two goals, but the half time interval allowed them to regroup. And less than 10 minutes into the second period, they have reduced the arrears courtesy of Karl Etta-Eyong.

Etta-Eyong scores in his first two Levante appearances against Real Betis and Girona, and he has made it three from three! He could not miss as he beat Thibaut Courtois to the ball from only a yard out, but the hosts will certainly take it.

Can Real Madrid see this match out?

Xabi Alonso will not be happy to see his side let Levante back into this match, and the hosts will have the momentum behind them for the upcoming minutes. The challenge for Real Madrid will be to see it off, before seeking to restore their two-goal lead, which would take some of the pressure off again.

It remains to be seen how this match plays out in the remaining minutes. Levante will believe that they can get at least a point from this one now, especially considering the chances they had in the opening stages of this contest. However, it will not be easy to break down Real Madrid again, and it will be equally crucial to stop them scoring again, which is far from guaranteed.
