The Magpies trailed at half-time following Marcus Tavernier's close-range tap-in before William Osula's strike drew the hosts level, the Danish forward's third goal in his last four Premier League outings.
United, however, fell to a fourth successive loss in all competitions as Adrien Truffert's late goal secured maximum points for the Cherries.
Here are some of Trippier's post-match reflections...
"Very difficult to take. Any game when you get beat is tough to take.
"I thought we got back into the game well and we dominated the game, put pressure on them, but we concede the second and then we're chasing and chasing. It's always difficult when they put everyone behind the ball."
"I'm not going to stand here and criticise my teammates but it's been a common thing recently where we've been conceding late.
"It's us players who need to take full responsibility for the results. As a senior player, I'll take all the criticism. There's five massive games and every single one of them are like cup finals. We've got to start getting wins and fast."
"The first was difficult for me to see because I was on the bench but it looked like it got flashed across the six-yard box and it was a tap-in.
"The second one is stood up to the back post. I'm not going to criticise my teammates. We're one team and we all take full responsibility."
"Over the time I've been here, we've been a real force, especially at home. We've been feared and teams have fear to come here but this season has felt like we fell short of that.
"I'm not going to stand here and make excuses. It's myself and the players who need to take responsibility."
"We need to win them all. That's the thought process - it has to be. It's five massive games. We know where we are in the league.
"We're disappointed and we know the fans' frustration as well. We know we can do better."
