Bayern Munich secured a strong result in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid last week, winning 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Despite this, Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa retains belief in his side’s ability to turn the tie around ahead of the second leg at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.
“We're excited. Everyone in Madrid believes we can do it. We're Real Madrid. We're coming here with the belief we can do it. We're a team that never gives up. We've won the Champions League 15 times. Nobody knows how it'll go, but we'll give our all,” Arbeloa said at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
"We don't need a miracle here. We've had some good games. Their goalkeeper was excellent in the first leg. But everyone who knows Real Madrid knows that we don't need a miracle here.
"Real is a club steeped in history. We're ready to fight, to keep making history and produce a comeback. We're prepared for the atmosphere. We need to enjoy playing in a stadium like this. Real's players want to come here and show what they're about. They'll enjoy this game."
The game kicks off at Allianz Arena at 21:00 CET tonight.
