The Allianz Stadium was (once again) at the heart of sports-related innovation.

It was in fact, the third Demo Day of WeSportUp, the final event of the support programme dedicated to helping start-ups that develop solutions and services aimed at the Sport and Wellness market, that took place at Juventus’ home on 22 January 2025. Sport Partner of the programme since its first edition, Juventus has made WeSportUp an integral part of its open innovation strategy, aiming to capture the added value that the startup system can offer. A value that is displayed not only through innovative solutions, but also through a dynamic and change-oriented mindset, capable of inspiring new perspectives for the future.

The Demo Day, organised in collaboration with Juventus Forward, (the Club's recently launched innovation programme, which acts as a co-creation space to promote internal collaboration and integration with the external innovation system, made up of institutions, start-ups and supporting organisations) was the climax of WeSportUp's third acceleration cycle, a journey that began in June 2024 with the launch of the collaboration. After a 4-month scouting phase, more than 1,300 potential start-ups potentially were identified and almost 400 applications were collected. Of these, 18 were invited to the Selection Day last September, where the best 9 were selected for the acceleration programme: Gabel Tech, Idolmatch, Jubatus, Mangofit, Medicaly, Miomeal, Pickeat, Powerset, WeGoo.

The programme included mentorship and coaching activities, business training workshops, masterclasses with industry experts, showcase events, business development activities and working sessions with corporate partners to implement pilot projects and market tests.

There were many speeches during the course of the day: as Juventus’ Francesco Calvo, Managing Director Revenue & Institutional Relations, Carolina Chiappero, Innovation Manager, and Giorgio Chiellini, Head of Football Institutional Relations all spoke. The other speakers were Stefano Molino, Accelerators Fund Manager of CDP Venture Capital SGR, and Charles Fremont, Senior Innovation Hub Manager of UEFA.

The Demo Day was not only a milestone, but a starting point for redefining the future of sport and wellness through innovation. Thanks to the collaboration between startups, institutions and corporate partners, Juventus continues to look forward, experiment and embrace change. This event not only celebrates the startups involved, but also represents a broader vision: an ecosystem in which technology, creativity and collaboration become the pillars for meeting tomorrow's challenges and creating value for the entire industry. At the Allianz Stadium, the future of sport is today.
