West Brom are reportedly keen on bolstering their midfield in January
West Bromwich Albion are reportedly keen on joining Leicester City and Ipswich Town in the hunt for Glen Kamara.
The Baggies have experienced a mixed start to the 2025/26 campaign, finding themselves 14th in the standings after 15 matches under the rule of Ryan Mason.
Although this may have been much less than some supporters were expecting heading into the season, Albion are just four points shy of the play-offs and have every opportunity to break into the top six come May.
Performing well in the January transfer market can help aid a top six push, and West Brom are reportedly already lining up some potential moves.

In an attempt to solidify their midfield, Mason and his recruitment team are rumoured to be in the running for ex-Leeds United and Rangers man Glen Kamara.
According to France-based jeunesfooteux, West Brom are ‘seriously interested’ in signing the out-of-favour Rennes midfielder in the upcoming January transfer window.
Kamara is viewed as a financial burden to the French outfit and would only require as little as £2.6m for his signature — which is a lot less than what he was signed for.
The 30-year-old has been limited to just 19 minutes of game time so far this season, which means that an exit is extremely likely at the next possible opportunity.
Albion were linked with a move for Kamara during the summer window, which shows that their interest in his services has been long-standing, even though that deal didn’t materialise.
West Brom may not be alone in their pursuit of the former Leeds United man, with Ipswich Town and Leicester City both also credited with a desire to secure his talent, as per Foot Mercato.
Kamara signed for Rennes in 2024 from Leeds United in a deal worth just less than £8.4m, but has failed to make an impact in France and was loaned out to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Shabab for the second portion of last season.

West Brom have struggled for consistency so far this season, and their midfield is no exception in that regard, with Mason yet to find an adequate partner for Alex Mowatt.
Kamara could fill that void and automatically increase the competitiveness of the Baggies’ engine room. The 30-year-old played a crucial role during Leeds United’s 2023/24 campaign, which ended in a play-off final defeat.
This highlights his ability to compete well in the Championship, which is exactly the type of talent Mason needs in his midfield.
Although things haven’t worked out for him in France, the Finland international has proven his quality on a number of occasions and would be a no-brainer if West Brom can get a deal over the line.
