According to ExpressAndStar.com, West Bromwich Albion has announced a multi-year partnership with DPD, the Black Country founded parcel delivery firm. DPD becomes the club’s official delivery partner and back of shirt partner, with branding on the men’s, women’s and academy match jerseys.

Founded in Smethwick in 1970, DPD has grown into a globally recognised brand. Its UK headquarters sit less than a mile from The Hawthorns, and despite the proximity this is their first formal partnership.

Chief business officer Sam Jeffery said DPD is a leading UK brand with Black Country roots and that the tie felt a natural fit from the outset. He highlighted a shared ambition to do things the right way and strong affection for Albion within the company.

DPD chief executive Justin Pegg said The Hawthorns is on the company’s doorstep and that the visibility means a great deal to staff, many of them lifelong Baggies. He described the agreement as about delivering what matters to their people, supporters and the community they share. He noted the business began by delivering vinyl to Britain’s high street record shops.

Supporters will start to see DPD’s presence at The Hawthorns from the beginning of the new season.
