Nuno Espirito Santo says he has not spent “one second” thinking about his future beyond this season.

West Ham fell back into the relegation zone last weekend after losing to Brentford, while relegation rivals Spurs beat Aston Villa.

But asked about his long-term future, Espirito Santo said: “I’m going to be honest with you, I don’t have one second to think about next season.

“It’s so demanding that what we have, the challenge, especially the game of Sunday, is what we have to focus on. I don’t have any second on my mind.

“I don’t have enough energy to think about what is ahead. It’s just tomorrow, after tomorrow, day by day.”

West Ham will have a fully fit squad to choose from for Sunday’s clash against title-chasing Arsenal as both sides look to pick up crucial points to achieve their very different ambitions.

“Everybody’s okay, which is good for us, that everybody’s healthy,” he said.

“They are a very talented team that is fighting for huge things, achieving huge moments, reaching the final of the Champions League, fighting for the league title.

“Tough opponent, tough opponent, but we are at London Stadium, which gives us always a plus of energy, and especially for us, we have to give it all. There’s no hiding, we have to be there.”
