West Ham are reportedly interested in Swansea City's Zan Vipotnik, which could come to the potential delight of Coventry City and Norwich
West Ham United are reportedly keeping tabs on Swansea City marksman Zan Vipotnik ahead of the January transfer window in a development which may please both Coventry City and Norwich, with the Premier League strugglers having set their sights on numerous strikers throughout the Championship.
As reported on Thursday evening by GiveMeSport, West Ham have enquired about Vipotnik's services amid competition from Serie A. Vipotnik has emerged as a hot property heading into January, with the Slovenian international striker having caught the eye in South Wales this season.
West Ham, meanwhile, are poised to spend the campaign battling against relegation out of the Premier League for the first time since 2011. The Hammers are currently positioned in 18th place after 16 games, three points shy of 17th-placed Leeds United, and with just 19 goals scored to date, Nuno Espirito Santo's side have been linked with no shortage of in-form forwards in English football's second-tier in a bid to bolster their survival hopes once the mid-season window commences.
Vipotnik, of course, is the latest striker to be linked with a move to the London Stadium, and a couple of Swansea's Championship rivals may be keeping one watchful eye on potential forthcoming developments involving the 23-year-old.
As per GiveMeSport's aforementioned update, West Ham have made an enquiry for Vipotnik as the East London outfit continue to sound out and run the rule over candidates at the top-end of the pitch heading into January.

It's said that Vipotnik has appeared on the Hammers' transfer radar, although that interest is yet to advance.
GiveMeSport report that West Ham have simply enquired about the former Bordeaux frontman and are "information-gathering" and no negotiations or genuine offers have been lodged at this moment in time, with Swansea's star striker merely among a litany of names being tracked by the Premier League side.
Indeed, Vipotnik also has interest from two unnamed Serie A suitors, who are reportedly tracking Vipotnik with more intent, GiveMeSport's update adds. They are believed to be more advanced in their interest and evaluations of the forward, with West Ham perhaps not yet entirely convinced on whether to launch a potential raid on the Swansea.com Stadium in an effort to bolster their survival hopes.
Vipotnik, a 22-cap international for Slovenia at senior international level, has impressed with Swansea in the 2025/26 campaign following a mixed debut season after his switch from Bordeaux.

In what has been a difficult season at 19th-placed Swansea, Vipotnik has offered a consistent source of goals, with the talisman finding the back of the net on eight occasions in the Championship and ten times across all competitions.
Overall, Vipotnik has 17 goals from 67 appearances for the Swans, having already bettered last term's return of seven strikes.
While Swansea will hardly welcome top-flight transfer interest in one of the chief assets at the disposal of freshly-appointed boss Vitor Matos, this development could prove to represent music to the ears of those at Coventry City or Norwich.
That's because, of course, West Ham have been running the rule over some of the Championship's most prolific marksmen, with Coventry City pair Ellis Simms and Haji Wright both recently linked with a January switch to Espirito Santo's outfit.

It's said that Wright, who has scored eight times for league leaders Coventry this term, is the preferred option of the two as West Ham look to find a replacement for Niclas Füllkrug ahead of the German international's impending departure.
The Sky Blues, mind you, would perhaps find themselves in a stronger position than Swansea to rebuff such interest, with Frank Lampard's side appearing poised to seal a return to the Premier League this term.
West Ham have also expressed a reported interest in Norwich City star Josh Sargent, who has endured a mixed campaign infront of goal at Carrow Road. Reportedly valued at £15 million, the 29-cap USMNT international has established himself as one of the second-tier's most lethal strikers in recent years but has returned a modest six strikes to date, with his goalscoring touch yet to be fully recovered following an electrifying start to the season before a subsequent dip in form.

One may argue that Sargent or Wright, for example, would represent more appealing options for the Hammers, but with Vipotnik's potential resale value at a considerably younger age in mind, Swansea may be sweating over his future and Coventry and Norwich won't mind that one bit.
