West Ham’s Mohamadou Kanté attracts Ligue 1 interest | OneFootball

Mohamadou Kanté (20) could leave West Ham United this summer and a return to his native France is an option, as per a report from The Athletic. 

Kanté joined West Ham from Paris FC back in 2024. Last season, he made the breakthrough into the first team. He made 11 appearances in the Premier League, although he only accumulated 66 minutes of playing time in the league. However, he did make starts in the FA Cup. 

With West Ham’s relegation to the EFL Championship confirmed, there is expected to be an exodus in the summer.

France internationals Todibo and Areola also linked with West Ham exits

Kanté is a player who is expected to be of interest to clubs. West Ham are bracing themselves for bids. The Athletic understands that the midfielder, valued between £15-20m, is attracting interest from Ligue 1 sides.

The publication adds that West Ham will also listen to offers for France internationals Alphonse Areola and Jean-Clair Todibo.
