Westerlo have announced the signing of 20-year-old Swiss winger Felix Emmanuel Tsimba. The Swiss youth international has joined the Belgian Pro League side on a permanent basis from Young Boys. He is just the latest in a string of young signings for Westerlo over the past few seasons, who have invested heavily in youth as a means of providing a steady flow of income when they are sold on. Tsimba can play either as a right-winger or centrally as a striker, adding some more forward thinking players to a Westerlo side that has seen a handful leave this summer already.
Tsimba came through the Young Boys youth set up, making his debut during the 2024/2025 season. After five appearances that year, he went on to make seven last season and scored his first professional goal for the club. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Zurich based side Grasshopper. Tsimba played 16 games on loan at the side, scoring three goals.
Tsimba has also represented Switzerland a handful of times at U19 level. He joins a Westerlo team that have lost both of their opening games in the Belgian Pro League.
