Westerlo could lose Griffin Yow for just €500k amid interest from Gent and Pafos FC | OneFootball

Griffin Yow appears to be a wanted man. According to Voetbalkrant, the American forward is on the wishlist this January of both Pafos FC and Belgian Pro League side Gent. While he is valued at a few million euros, his contract with current club Westerlo will expire in the summer. As a result, Westerlo may be willing to allow Yow to leave for just €500k.

The now 23-year-old Yow began his career with DC United with spells out at Loudon United FC. In 2022 he left the United States to join Westerlo and forge a career in Europe. Yow has impressed, even if he hasn’t been a first team regular at times. During his first season with the club he played 29 games, providing Westerlo with seven goals and five assists. The following season he scored eight goals in 35 games with three assists.

So far this season, Yow has played 17 games for Westerlo, scoring three goals. It is of little surprise that Gent are interested, given that their head coach Rik De Mil knows Yow well from his time as head coach of Westerlo. Pafos FC, who made their Champions League debut this season, would also be an interesting prospect for Yow in January.
