Liam Rosenior admitted Chelsea had missed Estevao Willian and believes there’s no ceiling for the Brazil international.

The 18-year-old was named man of the match as the Blues ran riot in a 7-0 win against Port Vale on Saturday evening to book their place in the FA Cup semi finals.

Estevao got amongst the goals with there seven different goal scorers for the Blues, as well as a rare clean sheet on a pretty much perfect afternoon.

Liam Rosenior praises Estevao performance

The teenager was Chelsea’s standout player and is likely to play a crucial role over the final seven games, with the Blues desperately trying to qualify for the Champions League.

Chelsea have struggled in the wide areas this season, and Estevao showed exactly what they’d been missing with an impressive performance.

Of course the calibre of opposition has to be taken into account, but he offers something the other wingers don’t, and Rosenior admitted after the game he’d been missed.

“There is no ceiling for him,” he told BBC Sport as quoted on X.com.

“We’ve missed him. He comes in and just plays, he wants to get on the ball. Wherever he is on the pitch he’s a threat.”

Whilst Estevao impressed it was bad news for another Chelsea attacker, with Rosenior confirming Jamie Gittens had suffered another hamstring injury.
