Weverton tops ratings in Grêmio’s 1-1 draw at Bahia | OneFootball

Grêmio drew 1-1 at Bahia in Salvador in the 16th round of the Brasileirão, with Weverton emerging as the standout.

According to Globo.com, the goalkeeper earned a ge score of 7.5 and a public rating of 9.0 after two big first-half saves that helped avoid defeat.

Viery headed Grêmio into the lead, but Grêmio later conceded when Wagner Leonardo failed to clear inside the box, a mistake that left him with the lowest ge mark of 3.5.

On his Série A debut, Luis Eduardo impressed with a firm, uncomplicated display. Leonel Pérez covered ground and made useful interceptions, while Marcos Rocha was an early outlet down the right before fading.

Vitor Ramon and Noriega struggled, the former unconvincing in defence and the latter loose in build-up. In attack, Enamorado’s pace lacked end product and Amuzu missed a clear second-half chance.

Carlos Vinícius and Braithwaite were short of service, with the latter at least linking play outside the box. Coach Luís Castro was given 4.5, his safety-first set-up working for 20 minutes before ineffective changes left Grêmio under pressure at the finish.
