What are the details of Karl Toko-Ekambi's offer from Paris FC?
According to press reports, Cameroonian striker Karl Toko-Ekambi is currently in advanced negotiations with Paris FC after his contract with Saudi Arabia's Al Ettefaq expired and it appears he will soon return to Ligue 1 at the age of 32.
According to information obtained by a number of African player transfer websites, the newly promoted French club is currently in advanced talks to secure the services of the veteran player.
Press reports revealed that the player has been offered an initial two-year deal with an option to extend for an additional year depending on the player's performance with the team in the first season, as the team aspires to have a great season in the French league and continue for as long as possible and have a good season worthy of the club's name as well as their neighbours.
The Cameroonian international knows Paris FC well - it's where he trained before his €400k move to Sochaux in 2014. Since then, the 31-year-old forward has graced the pitches of Angers, Villarreal, Lyon, and Rennes, collecting valuable experience at Europe's top levels.
However, last season proved challenging. During his stint with Al-Ettifaq, he found the net just once in 24 appearances, a disappointing return for a player of his caliber.
Despite this dip, Transfermarkt still values Toko-Ekambi at €2 million, suggesting clubs see potential in the experienced attacker. A return to familiar surroundings at Paris FC could provide the perfect platform for this proven goalscorer to rediscover his best form.
With the transfer window open, all eyes are on where this seasoned striker will choose to write his next chapter. Could Paris be the ideal setting for his career revival?
