Henrik Pedersen issued high praise for Kieran McKenna and his Ipswich Town side, after Sheffield Wednesday slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Hillsborough.
To say it's been a frustrating season for Sheffield Wednesday is something of an understatement, with the Owls preparing for life in League One next season.
Dejphon Chansiri's mismanagement of the club at an ownership level wrecked havoc in terms of their preparations for the 2025/26 campaign.
Sheffield Wednesday are rooted to the bottom of the Championship table on -5 points, and had their relegation confirmed after a defeat to rivals, Sheffield United earlier this year.
The Owls suffered their 28th defeat of this year's campaign at the weekend, as they were beaten 2-0 by promotion-chasing Ipswich Town, in what was a one-sided contest at Hillsborough.
Henrik Pedersen's side are yet to win a league game on home soil this season, with their only victory this term coming against Portsmouth at Fratton Park back in late September 2025.

Ipswich dominated the statistics in the 2-0 win over the Owls on Saturday, with the Tractor Boys having 16 shots, as well as 68% of the possession at Hillsborough.
Sheffield Wednesday boss, Henrik Pedersen issued high praise for Ipswich, and touched upon their rebuild, which saw them promoted into the Premier League.
Although their spell in the top-flight was brief, Ipswich are well-positioned to return to the Premier League this term, as they're just two points adrift of the automatic promotion places.
“I think we can always learn and I think if we look back at Ipswich four years ago and what they have done, then I have the biggest respect for what they have done.
"One thing is on the pitch, the other thing is outside the pitch, how they have rebuilt this football club is amazing."

Ipswich boss, Kieran McKenna has gained plenty of plaudits in recent years, as he took Ipswich back into the Premier League after a lengthy spell out of the top-flight.
Pedersen went on to reveal that he's set for a meeting with Ipswich Town boss, Kieran McKenna during the next international break, as he looks to gain an insight into what his team can learn about the rebuild process. The Owls boss also labelled McKenna as a 'great manager', which is something that plenty of the Portman Road faithful will agree with.
“So I have a meeting with him in the national team break to speak with him and the people from Ipswich about what we can learn from them and he's a great manager, so of course I can learn something from him.”
Sheffield Wednesday are set to return to action this weekend, as they prepare to take on Hull City at the MKM Stadium, in what is set to be another tough test for Pedersen's side.
Hull are in the mix to finish in the top-six this term, as the Tigers are sat fifth in the Championship table, and with just eight games remaining in their season, they'll fancy their chances of a long-awaited return to the Premier League.
Sheffield Wednesday fans can be forgiven for having an eye on next year's campaign, as they target a return to the second-tier at the first time of asking, and more importantly, they'll be hoping for new owners to be in place as soon as possible.
