What lies ahead for RBL at training camp in Saalfelden | OneFootball

The bags are packed and the lads are ready! Following Saturday’s friendly against SC Verl, which will be shown live on our YouTube channel from 11:30 CEST, the team will make the journey to training camp in Saalfelden. An intense week awaits the Red Bulls in Austria, with two open training sessions planned for fans to come and watch.

Here is an overview of what the team and supporters can expect in Saalfelden.

Ideal surroundings

Around 80 people will be staying at Gut Brandlhof in Saalfelden. With dedicated areas for training and recovery, the team hotel provides everything the squad needs to focus fully on their preparations for the new season.

It is familiar territory for the Red Bulls. RBL also stayed at Gut Brandlhof during the summer of 2021 ahead of a season that ended on a memorable high with victory over SC Freiburg in the DFB-Pokal final.

Training will take place on the hotel grounds. A football pitch and an additional training area are located immediately next to the hotel, keeping travel time to a minimum for the players and staff.

Nine training session in six days

A total of nine sessions are planned between Sunday and Friday. Alongside their work on the training pitch, the players will also complete recovery and gym sessions.

From Austria to England

The team will remain in Saalfelden until Friday as preparations for the new season continue. The Red Bulls will then travel directly from Austria to England.

A tough final test awaits on Saturday, 8th August, when RBL take on Leeds United away from home. Kick-off is at 15:00 CEST.

The team will return to Leipzig late on Saturday evening following the game.
