Pre-season has sharpened LaLiga’s market, and Girona’s rebuild after relegation has put Tsygankov among the window’s standout options.

According to Superdeporte, the Catalan club are starting a new era under Quique Álvarez after a dramatic drop to LaLiga Hypermotion and Míchel’s departure to Ajax, with several leading players potentially leaving due to status and salary.

Possible exits include Álex Moreno, who interests Deportivo de la Coruña, but the headline name is Viktor Tsygankov. The Ukrainian winger remains highly coveted despite recent injury issues.

Tsygankov is viewed as capable of improving Champions League and Europa League squads. He has more than 100 LaLiga appearances and 50 more across the Champions League and Europa League. Last season for Girona he played 34 games, scoring seven and assisting five.

For now he remains at Girona, though he has been linked with LaLiga clubs including Sevilla. His notional price is 15 million euros and his contract runs to 2027, while his wages are prohibitive for many in Spain.
