The interim Baggies boss has discussed what controlling shareholder Shilen Patel did after their victory over the Hornets.
West Brom extended their unbeaten run to nine games after a routine 3-0 victory over Watford on Tuesday.
The Baggies coasted home to make it back-to-back victories following on from last weekend’s 2-0 victory over Preston North End, to for now, ensure mathematical safety.
Of course, that could be rescinded if the club is found guilty of breaching P&S rules from the EFL, which is likely to result in a minor points deduction, but regardless, Albion have put themselves in a fantastic position to secure safety.
Isaac Price slotted the hosts in front on the 20-minute mark, before Daryl Dike got his second goal in his many games by flicking in a close-range header from a deflected free-kick.
Despite some jitters in the second half, Danny Imray made sure of the points by rifling in his first goal for the club, getting on the end of an acute assist by forward Josh Maja.
It means that with two games to go, the Baggies are, for now at least, eight points clear of the bottom three, although the club waits for any punishment after a hearing is conducted towards the end of the month.
Overall, interim boss James Morrison has done a fantastic job to turn around a group of rudderless players who looked League One bound after the days of Eric Ramsay, putting players in their natural positions and developing a system that has truly got the best out of each and every single figure.
In a remarkable turnaround, Albion have now kept six clean sheets in their last seven games, while also looking so much more potent in the final third, so immense credit has to go to the Baggies legend for turning it around and steadying the ship.
Morrison spoke at the end of the Watford victory, revealing what owner Shilen Patel did after the game and his stance on what his future at The Hawthorns holds.

As reported by the Express & Star, interim boss James Morrison revealed West Brom owner Shilen Patel entered the dressing room following their victory over Watford to make a speech, addressing the staff and players after a sensational run of Championship form.
When asked if the chairman enjoyed it, Morrison replied: “Yes, he did.
“He came down to the dressing room after and said a few things, and it was nice. That's good to hear.
“What goes on in the dressing room stays in the dressing room.”
Meanwhile, Morrison was also asked about what his future holds following a stellar period as interim boss.
The former Scotland international refused to rule out not wanting the permanent role at The Hawthorns, but revealed it would be a “big job” to take on given the size and expectation of the club.

Morrison added: “I think it's a conversation at the end of the season.
“I always put this club first and what's best for the football club.
“It's a massive football club and, in this division, it has high expectation. It comes with a lot of things. It wasn’t a long time we were in the Premier League.
“It's a big job to try and get them back into the Premier League, where we belong.”
Asked if he could be the man to do that, Morrison replied: “Well, if I'm given the chance, who knows?”

Given West Brom’s superb transformation, you’d find it difficult to count the number of Baggies fans on one hand that don’t want James Morrison to be given the job on a full-time basis.
The former Albion midfielder has been absolutely brilliant since stepping into the interim role, inheriting a group of players who had lost all sense of direction and confidence from the short and disastrous tenure of Eric Ramsay.
And following on from their defeat at Oxford United in Morrison's opening game, it looked like it was more of the same for the remainder of the season.
But Morrison changed the system to a 4-4-2, and it has worked wonders, helping the Baggies be so much quicker in transitions and their ability to create goalscoring chances, while the backline and midfield have put their bodies on the line to regularly keep clean sheets and give Albion the best opportunities to win games.
For the first time in a long time, the supporters are fully engaged and connected with both the team and playing staff, while the Baggies supporters absolutely adore Morrison for saving the club and helping them achieve Championship survival.
Provided he wants the job, and from his words it seems like he does, then there should be no contest for the position at all, with Morrison proving his qualities as a very good coach in the making.
He deserves the chance to take this group of players forward, and hopefully, he can get the club looking to brighter days ahead when this latest financial cloud blows over.
