The Europa League draw takes place today, with Manchester United, Tottenham and Rangers all set to learn their last-16 opponents.
In the new league phase format, the top eight teams progressed straight through to this stage and avoided a two-legged knockout play-off tie in the process.
Tottenham and Manchester United were both effectively guaranteed a play-off spot heading into their final games of the league phase, but beat Elfsborg and FCSB respectively to get the job done. Both sides’ progression straight through to the last 16 has been a welcome boost.
The gap in the calendar has allowed for Spurs and Ange Postecoglou to rest and recover some key players following an injury-hit season so far.
Ruben Amorim has also been able to fit in some extra training sessions to get the United players more accustomed to his system.
The teams that finished between ninth and 24th in the league phase have been in action this week to complete the Europa League knockout phase play-offs, with the rest of the field eliminated from Europe completely.
The draw for the last 16 of the 2024/25 Europa League will take place today on Friday February 21, 2025 at 12pm GMT, which is 1pm CET.
TV channel and live stream: The draw will be streamed live and for free on the official UEFA website and YouTube channel, with television coverage available from 12pm on TNT Sports 1.
TNT Sports subscribers can also watch it live online via the Discovery+ app and website.

For Rangers, it will be either Bodo/Glimt or Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce next after their wins over FC Twente and Anderlecht.
