Liverpool are on the verge of winning the Premier League title after the club’s weekend win at Leicester City.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s winner at the King Power Stadium means Liverpool are within touching distance – with the champagne unlikely to be on ice or long.

Arne Slot’s side are 13 points clear of nearest challengers Arsenal, with just five games of the season remaining.

But when could Liverpool’s coronation as champions be confirmed?

Liverpool are next in action at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 27th April. A win in that fixture will guarantee the Reds the Premier League title – and just a second top-flight crown since 1990. Crucially, Liverpool can also match Manchester United’s English record of 20 titles.

However, Liverpool’s coronation could be confirmed as early as this evening. Arsenal host Crystal Palace at the Emirates and defeat for the Gunners would be enough for Liverpool.
