When is the Champions League draw? Draw date, details, and potential ties

The 2025/26 UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw will take place this Friday, following the conclusion of the play-off round.

The remaining 16 teams will learn their opponents for the next round, alongside potential quarter-final and semi-final ties.

When is the Champions League round of 16 draw?

The draw for the 2025-26Champions League Round of 16 will take place on Friday 27th February, in Lyon. The draw is scheduled for 11am GMT.

Which teams have qualified for the Champions League round of 16?

The eight winners from the play-off round have progressed to the Round of 16, where they will meet the top eight teams from the league phase. In the draw, the top eight league phase teams are seeded. Those teams are paired for the draw, based on their final position in the league phase.

For the play-off teams, their position is already determined by the knockout phase play-off draw. Each team has two possible opponents for the last 16 in Friday's draw.
