Premier League clubs are running out of time to get transfer deals done as the deadline approaches.

It's been a relatively quiet January transfer window in comparison to recent additions, though there could still be a host of movement across the division.

Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Everton are among the Premier League teams hoping to secure signings before the window slams shut.

When is the January transfer window deadline?

The transfer deadline forPremier League clubs is Monday February 2nd, 2026.

Clubs are required to conclude deals before 7pm and the transfer windows in Italy, Germany and France are aligned with this date and time.

Scottish and Spanish sides will have until 11pm on February 2nd to finalisetransfers, while the window is open until February 3rd for the Netherlands and Portugal.

Can clubs sign players outside the transfer window?

Clubs can sign free agents outside of the transfer window periods. Upcoming free agents, whose deals expire in the summer, can sign pre-contract agreements with new clubs but will not officially become their player until their existing contract expires.

Premier League clubs have to register their squad for the second half of the season on February 5th, 2026.

Free agent signings can only be added to squads after this date if the club has not used their 25-player allocation in full. Free agents can only be registered byPremier League teams until March 26th, 2026.
