With World Cup fever building, plenty in Leeds will fancy a kickabout. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, these neighbourhoods offer strong options for casual games and organised matches.
Middleton: try the third-generation pitch at Middleton Leisure Centre. Its pay-as-you-play setup offers affordable access to quality facilities.
Beeston: fittingly for the home of Elland Road, Cross Flats Park has two adult-sized pitches with fixed goalposts.
Roundhay: Roundhay Park provides several pitches that are free for informal use on a first-come, first-served basis.
Adel: book at Bodington Football Hub, which provides some of the best facilities in the city. Also check the 11-a-side grass pitch at Adel Sports and Social Club.
Garforth: Barley Hill Park has two full-sized grass pitches, free to use for casual games. Alternatively, Glebelands Recreation Ground offers one adult and one junior-sized pitch.
Kirkstall: Kirkstall Leisure Centre and Goals Leeds have high-quality bookable facilities for formal matches, while the two full-sized pitches at West Park Field suit informal games.
