White and Barnes called up for England squad as Eze and Quansah drop out | OneFootball

Ben White and Harvey Barnes have been called up to Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.

The duo replace Jarell Quansah and Ebere Eze, who have withdrawn from the squad due to injury.

It is the first time White has been included in the squad since the World Cup in Qatar in 2022, when he left the camp for personal reasons and then made himself unavailable for future squads under Gareth Southgate.

Barnes, meanwhile, has scored 14 goals in all competitions for Newcastle this season and replaces Eze, who missed the Carabao Cup final because of a calf issue.

The Arsenal midfielder is set to undergo another scan to determine the severity of the injury.
