Paris Saint-Germain are tracking Benfica striker Anisio Cabral and Porto right-back Alberto Costa as they weigh future options. According to L'Équipe, the Portuguese core at PSG has delivered and the contingent could grow in the coming months.

Cabral, 17, has been highlighted by José Mourinho as a youngster who could soon step into Benfica’s senior group. He turns 18 on 15 February and is widely seen as one of Portugal’s brightest prospects.

With Portugal’s under-17s he won the 2025 European Championship and World Cup, took the Silver Boot with seven goals, and hit the winner in the final against Austria in Qatar. His coach Bino Maçaes labels him an X factor and natural finisher, and team-mate Rafael Quintas praises his power and penalty-box nous.

A Benfica product since age eight, the 1.87m striker has torn through each level, scoring 43 in 40 at under-15. He signed his first professional contract in autumn 2024 and is viewed internally as a relentless worker with an obsession for goals.

Costa, 22, from Santo Tirso, realised a childhood dream by joining Porto last summer for €15m after six months at Juventus and 14 appearances. Time in Serie A under Igor Tugor is said to have sharpened his defensive discipline without dulling his attacking intent.

A modern full-back who can play higher, he has six assists this season and the carteiro nickname, the postman. His release clause is €65m, and president André Villas-Boas has ruled out any sale below that, with his deal running to 2030. He also aims to break into Roberto Martinez’s Portugal squad for the next World Cup.
