La Liga giants Real Madrid will be forced to get the better of one of two teams in the next round of the Champions League.

Their potential opponents? Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, or city rivals Atlético Madrid.

Real are of course fresh off booking their spot in the Last-16 of European football’s premiere club competition.

After welcoming Manchester City to Spain’s capital for the 2nd leg of the playoff tie between the clubs, Los Blancos thanked an inspired Kylian Mbappé for what was a comfortable victory.

The Frenchman racked up all three of his side’s goals, en route to a 3-1 result on the night, and 6-3 aggregate triumph for Carlo Ancelotti’s hosts.

So, what next for the Champions League specialists?

The draw for the next round of the competition is set to take place this coming Friday.

And Real Madrid, as alluded to above, are already aware that they will face one of two sides in the two-legged affair – Bayer Leverkusen, or Atlético Madrid.
