The final weekend of an exhilarating 2025/26 Premier League campaign is now upon us.

Arsenal have already been crowned champions after a dramatic midweek that saw them overcome Burnley and Manchester City falter at Burnley but that doesn't mean we don't have plenty to be decided.

Most notably, the final relegation berth (one of two London giants will drop) and the European positions are very much up for grabs.

But what can we expect from the permutations? We've got you covered.

Relegation battle

The fight to avoid joining Wolves and Burnley in the Championship is down to Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham.

Spurs sit 17th and safe at the moment, two points above their rivals.

Tottenham will stay up if...

  1. They beat Everton
  2. They draw with Everton
  3. They lose and West Ham fail to beat Leeds

Tottenham will go down if...

  1. They lost to Everton and West Ham beat Leeds

Because of how large the goal difference swing would need to be for West Ham, a draw is also effectively enough to keep Spurs off.

West Ham can only stay up if...

  1. They beat Leeds and Tottenham lose to Everton

Champions League race

The real tension is around the final Champions League qualification place and the wider European positions.

Liverpool’s position

Liverpool are currently fifth and in pole position for Champions League qualification. They qualify if:

  1. They beat Brentford
  2. Those below them drop points

Bournemouth’s chance

Bournemouth are still alive in the race and have the perfect chance to send Andoni Iraola off into the sunset in style.

They likely need:

  • They win and results elsewhere go in their favour
  • A draw may be enough for the Conference League
  • But it depends on results involving Chelsea, Brighton and Brentford

The Aston Villa factor

Having won the Europa League in midweek with a 3-0 thrashing of Freiburg, Villa could help England to an additional Champions League berth with a top five finish, which would dramatically improve the outlook for sixth place.

Europa League and Conference League

Behind the Champions League race:

  1. Brighton, Chelsea and Brentford all remain in the running
  2. Newcastle can still qualify for Europe but need to win and hope for dropped points above
