Nolan Galves has signed a four-year contract with Albion after an eye-catching 2025/26 at Rodez. The 23-year-old attack-minded right-back adds thrust on the flank.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the attack-minded right-back attracted interest from Albion, Southampton, QPR and Millwall. He bolsters James Morrison’s options with Danny Imray reportedly set for Wrexham.

Galves hails from Montbeliard near the Swiss border and joined FC Sochaux at 10, advancing from the B team to seniors. After senior minutes in Ligue 3, he moved to Rodez in 2024 on a three-year deal. Rodez were said to seek around £850,000.

His first season brought two goals and three assists in 31 games as Rodez finished 14th of 18. Under Didier Santini’s back five he largely played wing-back, and last term did not score but supplied eight assists, including one in the play-offs. Rodez beat Red Star 3-2 then went out on spot-kicks.

Last season he created 10 big chances, a figure that ranked above 95 per cent of Ligue 2 full-backs. His 59 successful crosses were the most in the division, and he completed 27 dribbles, ahead of 96 per cent of peers. He also made 103 recoveries and won possession 11 times in the attacking third, better than 85 and 97 per cent respectively.
