Whose contracts are PSG looking to renew?

Whilst there are no players at Paris Saint-Germain whose contracts are expiring at the end of the current season, the club are nonetheless looking to tie down several players to new deals, L’Équipe understands.

There are three players whose current deals expire at the end of next season, and so their situations are the most urgent. Fabian Ruiz, Senny Mayulu, and Ibrahim Mbaye all have deals that expire in 2027, and so PSG are looking to resolve their situations with urgency in order to avoid any uncertainty over the summer, as was the case with Gianluigi Donnarumma, who ultimately left to join Manchester City.

Mbaye’s deal has a clause to trigger an extra year, making his situation a little less urgent than Ruiz’s and Mayulu’s. In order to ward off suitors, PSG are also looking to extend Bradley Barcola’s deal, whilst Ousmane Dembélé’s Ballon d’Or win has triggered talks over an improved deal. Both of their contracts expire in 2028.

Then there is the case of Willian Pacho. Usually, PSG would not discuss a new deal with a player whose deal has three more years to run, as is the case with Pacho (contract until 2029), but given his performances and given that he is not in the top 15 earners at the club, they are looking to improve the terms of his deal.

As per L’Équipe, the Ecuador international has a two-year extension with improved terms on the table. It is now up to Pacho to respond to the offer. A deal could be quickly struck.
