Erling Haaland has not been named in Manchester City’s matchday squad for their clash with Leeds this evening.

He is replaced up front by Omar Marmoush, with Rayan Cherki coming in to complete the front three with Antoine Semenyo.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the game, Pep Guardiola said of his star striker: “Two days ago, in the last moments of training, there were some problems. A little injury.

Haaland is the top scorer in the English top flight this season, scoring 22 goals in 27 games.

He has found the net 29 times in all competitions, with those remaining seven coming in the Champions League, where City were drawn against Real Madrid in Friday’s draw.

City are looking to cut Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League to two points, as they currently trail the Gunners by five.

Guardiola’s men do have a game in hand on the league leaders, however.

Arsenal take on Chelsea in a huge London derby on Sunday, with Mikel Arteta’s side looking to consolidate their place at the top of the table.
