Few names are more synonymous with the Premier League era on the blue half of Liverpool than Republic of Ireland legend and club cult hero Séamus Coleman.

The 37-year-old Killybegs native called time on a glistening spell with the Toffees that began in January 2009 on the recommendation Willie McStay, friend and former teammate of then, and now, Everton boss David Moyes.

Opting to head to Goodison Park over the likes of Celtic and Birmingham City, the paltry £60,000 that Everton shelled out for the Irish international right-back goes down as one of the best pieces of transfer business ever conducted in the Premier League era.

All told, Coleman made 433 appearances for the club across all competitions in a stint that spanned 17 years.

His efforts as a key part of Everton's backline, which featured iconic colleagues Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka, while supplying Tim Cahill, Mikel Arteta, Steven Pienaar, and Romelu Lukaku further forward, helped the club achieve domestic stability.

Coleman's legacy in one of England's football meccas will never be forgotten.
