Why Germany are wearing white shorts against Paraguay | OneFootball

When Germany face Paraguay in the World Cup round of 32 on Monday night, they will wear their white home shirt.

However, Julian Nagelsmann’s side will not pair it with their usual black shorts, as they did against Curaçao and Côte d’Ivoire in the group stage.

Instead, Germany will play with white shorts in their first World Cup knockout match since winning the 2014 final.

The change is due to Paraguay’s all-dark navy kit, which means Germany’s traditional black shorts would not provide enough contrast with their opponents.

Germany’s round of 32 match against Paraguay at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough kicks off at 22:30 CEST.
