That is why today, January 6, is the perfect time to revisit one of the many milestones Alicia Cervantes has achieved throughout her professional career.

It was on a day like today, back in 2023, when she reached the 100-goal mark in Liga MX Femenil. And, true to her reputation as the league’s ultimate goal poacher, she did it in spectacular fashion. She kicked off the year in the best possible way, as the milestone came in the Matchday 1 clash of the Clausura 2023 against Pumas, a match in which 'Licha' netted a hat trick against the capital side, making her, at that moment, the third-highest scorer in league history.

If there’s one thing Doña Alicia Cervantes knows how to do, it’s step up when her team needs her—and this occasion was no exception. In the 50th minute, 'Licha' made the most of a perfectly weighted through ball, slipped in behind the defense, rounded the goalkeeper inside the box and, with her trademark finishing instinct, calmly sent the ball into the back of the net.

Just four minutes later, she once again etched her name into Circuito Rosa history. After receiving the ball outside the area, she unleashed a powerful right-footed strike that beat the opposing goalkeeper, sealing her 100th goal in Liga MX Femenil. Then, in the 90th minute, she completed her account on the night to extend Chivas Femenil’s lead even further, as the Rojiblancas cruised to a 5–1 victory over Pumas in Matchday 1 of the CL23.

Today, the 'Depredadora' stands as the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Circuito Rosa, with 176 goals to her name—156 of them in a Chivas jersey. A figure that serves as a reminder that she is just five goals away from also becoming the top scorer in the history of Club Deportivo Guadalajara.
